Jamie Oliver - Flavour Shaker

Sesame marinade


a 2 cm piece
of fresh ginger, peeled
1 teaspoon
fresh thyme leaves
2 cloves of garlic

25ml
toasted sesame oil
75ml red wine vinegar
50ml olive oil
100ml dry white wine


Put the ginger, thyme and garlic in the bottom part of the Flavour Shaker™, drop the ball in and screw the top on tightly. Shake for about 20 seconds until everything’s smashed to a paste.

Unscrew the Flavour Shaker™ and add the sesame oil and vinegar. Screw the top back on and shake to mix everything together.

Pour the contents of the Flavour Shaker™ into a bowl, stir in the olive oil and white wine and your marinade is ready!

Serving suggestion:

Mix with juicy prawns or tuna steaks and leave to marinate for 30 minutes before cooking – delicious!
